Family Roofing specializes in re-roofs and roofing repairs for homeowners.  For re-roofs, we will remove old the old roofing material to expose the decking of the house.  We will inspect the decking and replace any areas of rot or decay.  We will then install quality roofing materials of the homeowner’s preference.  

For insurance claims, the insurance company will compensate the homeowner for a replacement of “like kind and quality” of what they currently have on their home.   Many homes in the Denver Metro area have “3-tab” shingles, with a 20 year manufacturer’s warranty.  These 3-tab shingles have a 60 mile per hour (m.p.h.) wind rating.  We often experience winds in Colorado that surpass 60 m.p.h.  Family Roofing will not install 3-tab shingles because they don’t meet our standard of quality.  We will automatically upgrade all 3-tab roofs to a dimensional asphalt shingle, which has a manufacturer’s warranty of 30 years and a wind rating of 130 m.p.h.

Family Roofing is a preferred contractor with both Owens Corning and GAF.  In the realm of asphalt shingles, we offer Impact-Resistant shingles (which usually entitle a homeowner to a reduction in their homeowner’s insurance premiums), Solar-Reflective shingles (which can reduce a homeowner’s utility bill) and Presidential Shingles (which are premium shingles that mimic the rustic look of cedar-shake roofs and are guaranteed for 50 years).
